"Security" Problems

I'm locked out of program files. I can't install new programs. Help tells me
to contact my administrator. That would be me, the only one with access and
who is listed as administrator. I have tried to change the settings on the
various security tabs, but no luck. What does one do?

That depends on what you are attempting to do. If you are installing
software with a standard Setup/Installer program, that should take
care of the admin stuff for you. If you are simply trying to copy
a file over to "Program Files" manually, you have to jump through
some hoops.

That doesn't seem to work. I turned UAS back on and rebooted--no luck. Is
there a way to revert all security settings back to where they were on
install?
