Yep -- that's how I do it. I'll also set the installed executable to
"compatibility mode" if there's a concern. I gave myself
administrator rights, so I only rarely have to either run a program in
Run as Administrator or set the properties to Run as Administrator.

You got dudded; it is up to Nero 7. Take your software back and demand up to
date stuff. Same with Power DVD; it is up to 7 too, although there is still a
prob with Power DVD.
I am using Nero 6.6; worksgreat,

I suspect that Nero will not release a Vista update for 6.6.
They are forcing users to buy Nero 7.
