Windows Theme sounds

Has anyone had this problem, Everything was working ok up untill now, I seem
to have lost my theme sounds in Vista. I do not hear any startup or exit
sounds or any other theme sounds in Vista. I can play music alright without
any problems. When i go to the media folder containing the Vista sounds i
click on them and they play ok through mediaplayer and i can not seem to
find anything that is on mute, when i check the mixer down by the clock on
the taskbar there is nothing muted. I have even reinstalled my sound drivers
(Audigy 2 ZS) and I have the latest drivers.
Many thanks for any help with this on

Re: Windows Theme sounds

Have you tried setting the Sound Scheme to Windows Default, in Control Panel
(Classic View) > Sound, on the "Sounds" tab?
