Network Vista With xp

This enables Windows XP to position itself on the network map feature of
Windows Vista, it isn't needed to actually network the machines.

Same thing happened to me. Installed the XP thing but no go. Next day
Vista can now see my XP maching.

yes..iknow i can see it in the map but i can not access the other pc with xp
nor can i see the vista pv on the xp machine

Hello,

On the computer running Windows XP, check the workgroup name and then
compare it to the workgroup name on the computers running Windows Vista. If
the workgroup names don't match, change the names so that all of the
computers on the network have the same workgroup name.

I have done all this and still , i can see the xp pc on the vista network but
can not access it and on the xp pc i can not see any of them in the network
fodler. and i know i am not doing anything wrong since i done networking
before but both pcs had xp
