| Unable to install Office 2007 Pro or Ultimate on Vista Hi all. It runs to a certain point and then stops saying it can't find a CAB file that does exist on both disks. I can browse for them and see them. I know the disks are good because I used them to install to my XP boot side. I'm running dual boot. What is interesting is that on both Pro and Ultimate disks it is looking for the same CAB file. Any suggestions? I'm running Vista Ultimate. I was thinking of copying the CAB file to the hard drive as a work around but that seems ridiculous.. the install should work as intended. Robert |

| Re: Unable to install Office 2007 Pro or Ultimate on Vista Are these downloads or retail versions of the programs? I have seen this when CD's are burned from corrupted downloads (.iso files). The cab file may be there, but not the "complete" cab file. Not to do with your problem, but you DO realize that if you install again to Vista you will have to activate again. You will likely run into problems because it is already activated. You may get a message that the key is already in use. Then you will have to decide as how you want to handle the situation. -- Regards, Richard Urban MVP Microsoft Windows Shell/User "Robert Johnson" <johnson_r@sbcglobal.net> wrote in message news:eSzSxijaHHA.4220@TK2MSFTNGP03.phx.gbl...[color=blue] > Hi all. | Re: Unable to install Office 2007 Pro or Ultimate on Vista No, these are downloads from my MSDN subscription. Yes they have been activated but the message is about being unable to find a CAB file that clearly exists on both disks. The file is in the Pror.WW folder looking for PriorWW.CAB I wonder if the problem is because I don't have an UnZip app on Vista? Hmmm. I'll install WinZip and see if that makes a difference just for fun. When I look at the disk in explorer, the CAB file shows up with a Zip icon that's what prompted my thinking... | Re: Unable to install Office 2007 Pro or Ultimate on Vista I have installed the MSDN version of Office 2007 Professional in Vista. I used the MSDN supplied DVD. I had no such problem. Again, I would suspect the download. -- Regards, Richard Urban MVP Microsoft Windows Shell/User "Robert Johnson" <johnson_r@sbcglobal.net> wrote in message news:ulaIoSkaHHA.4000@TK2MSFTNGP02.phx.gbl...[color=blue] > No, these are downloads from my MSDN subscription.
