i wish to turn of highlighting newly added programs in vista is this posable
as i cant seem to find it anywhere. i know it was in xp and was straight
forward to turn off.

Start Orb>Properties>Start menu>Customize. Scroll about half way down
settings and uncheck"Highlight newly installed programs".

right click on taskbar,left click properties.it brings up a new window.
click start menu tab then click custonise
the item is down the list just untick it and apply
