| Re: Blue screen and Mini Dump in Windows Vista Those are files that are sent to MS when you have a crash explaining the crash. When you reboot you should get some sort of notification that it wants to send the crash info to MS ("Search for solution"). steve "Otterman" <Otterman@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:D16CF376-A75F-470A-9C0D-BF20A874918C@microsoft.com... > First of all Im love Vista and occasionally I get a blue screen and after > rebooting with starting windows normally it works fine then a dialog box > open > and it says, > BCCode: 1000008e > > BCP1: C0000005 > > BCP2: 8FAD575A > > BCP3: 97B4FAEC > > BCP4: 00000000 > > OS Version: 6_0_6000 > > Service Pack: 0_0 > > Product: 768_1 > > > > Files that help describe the problem: > > C:\Windows\Minidump\Mini030707-01.dmp > > C:\Users\Andy\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-88359-0.sysdata.xml > > C:\Users\Andy\AppData\Local\Temp\WERA66.tmp.version.txt > > I was wondering if you could help to throw on some light thanks in > advance, > Andy. |

| Re: Blue screen and Mini Dump in Windows Vista Hi, As Steve has said, those are files sent to Microsoft to log the problem, and may possibly lead to a solution if OCA (Online Crash Analysis) has one. I can tell you that the BCCode indicates that this is a driver error. One thing you may want to do is check for updated ones from the manufacturer of the various devices making up your computer (do not rely on Windows Update for this). -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Windows help - www.rickrogers.org "Otterman" <Otterman@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:D16CF376-A75F-470A-9C0D-BF20A874918C@microsoft.com... |

My even comes back and tells me that the event name is: " Blue Screen" I did get an update from Windows for the Intel processer. My laptop is brand new. | Re: Blue screen and Mini Dump in Windows Vista Did anyone ever get the solution to this problem because I am receiving the same messages and sick of my computer crashing EVERY day. It almost seems to be related to windows mail because that is when it seems to happen, when I am reading or writing emails. Is that just a coincidence? |

| Re: Blue screen and Mini Dump in Windows Vista I have been getting the same problem. It stopped for a while. But every now and then, there's a blue screen. It has no apparent reason. Start> right click on computer,>properties> advance tab, under start up and recovery click the settings>system failure>uncheck automatic system restart. This will freeze the BSOD next time it shows. However, There are multiple causes for most stop errors and while they can be helpful, often they aren't. Try running SFC and running a chkdsk. You can also try the software fixes I list below, and of course check the hdw as best you can--cooling, seating of cards, cables, and sating of mem sticks. Sometimes a startup repair will fix things besides no boot bsods. If you need to repair major components of the Vista OS or can't boot, and don't have a Vista DVD, you can download the .iso from this link and burn it: Download Vista Repair Disk http://neosmart.net/blog/2008/windows-vista-recovery-disc-download/ 1) First try 3 options from Startup Repair. If you have a Vista DVD then restart with it in the drive>press any key to boot from it and run Startup Repair. From Startup Repair you have 3 good tools with an excellent chance of fixing your system. If you don't have a Vista DVD from which to boot to Startup Repair, no problem, Download the .iso from the link below and burn it, and you'll have the Microsoft Vista Repair Disk with Startup Repair. Download Vista Repair Disk http://neosmart.net/blog/2008/windows-vista-recovery-disc-download/ How to Use Startup Repair from the Vista DVD or the Repair Disk you make: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial142.html http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Windows/en-US/Help/5c59f8c1-b0d1-4f1a-af55-74f3922f3f351033.mspx Good luck, CH |

| Blue screen and Mini Dump in Windows Vista I got the same issue but I was finally able to solve the case. I am using Vista home basic, I downloaded an "exe" file from the website http://serials-keys.com/ the link :-http://serials-keys.com/serial_All_serials_keys_text_speech_pro_ultimate_2.2.html just after running the "exe" it asked to restart the system, once asked for system, the system was not able to booth properly. so the steps that i took were 1) start the system with "safe mode with networking", it showed me the same message as you all had received 2) Installed a trojan remover software, you can download from http://www.simplysup.com/tremover/download.html its the best. 3) scanned my system, which showed me some virus "gxvxcserv.sys", i asked to remove from the registry. 4) Just before i restart the system, I went for folder options, and checked the option "show hidden files and folders" & deleted the hidden files that i found in the "Startup" (found in Windows--> Start Menu--> Programs or click on Start--> All Programs and you find the folder) 5) now restart the system, you might need to check for trojan virus, just scan with "Trojan remover" this trojan remover software has saved my ass for 3 times within the span of 30 days trial. you need to analyze what sort of problem you are facing, is it hardware or virus, go search on google if you get some text message for error, next if it is a virus than, need to know what kind of virus & how does it works, that helps to know how to fix it. Many virus place them self in the areas with those files which are accessed by windows when it starts. like the StartUp files or you Windows registry etc. So even if you have the finest and sharpest (best & updated Antivirus) if you don't have the skills (the way to tackle) you would always face problems. Best of luck. If this works, kindly spread this to all other websites and do buy the Trojen remover software. |

| Re: Blue screen and Mini Dump in Windows Vista Vista can't stop you from installing bad drivers that can crash the system. Also download and learn how to use Debugging Tools for Windows To diagnose dump files. Also learn how to use the Event log and other tools that are supplied with Vista. Next get rid of all those registry cleaning tools you have and Never, NEVER advise someone to run them for a problem. Every time you run them it is deleting registry entries that should not be deleted. If you had the card plugged in a unpowered hub it is probably. Some devices will not work properly plugged in a hub.. | Re: Blue screen and Mini Dump in Windows Vista I'm completely out of idea. I get the same crash on my laptop and I tried every single method. It crash simply just leaving it idle after log in. I thought found the pattern that causes the crash, but I didn't. I formatted my entire laptop yesterday and reboot it with the disk they gave me when I bought the laptop, and guess what, it still crash, even with no software installed. And it doesn't make sense that the factory driver is causing the crash, because i used it for months when i bought this computer and it work fine. Plus I had been using other drivers. I seriously have almost nothing in my computer now besides, firefox and window live messager, and a few stock drivers. I'm feeling completely hopeless. -- FTF_Unknown ------------------------------------------------------------------------ FTF_Unknown's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/members/152947.htm View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/vista-help/700678.htm http://forums.techarena.in |

| Re: Blue screen and Mini Dump in Windows Vista Sounds like to me too, until I format my computer again and reinstall a pirate version of window xp. The computer lasted a day without blue screen. So I bought myself a legal version of windows 7 after, and installed that, it works fine ever since. No more blue screen. That is correct, that's what it sounded like to me. Until you replied with facts :-) Grumble, grumble, facts, mumble, mumble. -- Gene E. Bloch letters0x40blochg0x2Ecom |
