Hi

I have installed premium - without a hassle (phew!)

the only problems I have found are POOR (broadband) download speeds

when using XP Pro my download speed was near to 8 megs but now with Premium

my download is less than 1meg!!!!! - my zoom router is working fine - my
MOBO is an Ausus A8n -SLI - Premium

any ideas on this one would be greatfukky received - MICROSOFT - by their
own admission

(names available of who not to talk to available upon request) "have no
idea" in fact one tech support guy told me to

re install XP PRO!!!!.

My second problem is with hold em - all the text (bets etc) continually
flash ... I am using Nvidia 8800 GTX

again your help would be appreciated

Vista network connections use both traditional TCP/IPv4 and the
newer TCP/IPv6. Just as a test case you may want to unbind the
newer v6 from your network adapter and retest your throughput.

my first thought is the driver for NIC. Hunt around and make sure you have the latest CORRECT one. Just because Vista installed a
driver for you doesn't mean its the best one.

The Hold'Em flashes are due to the poor drivers made by nVidia.

Honestly just read around and you'll see that most motherboard/video cards
with issues are chipsets by nVidia.

As for the slow network connection are you sure that it's Vista?

Have you tried multiple sites to download from?

Re: poor download speeds with Premium - and HOLD 'EM "flashes" ************* your expertise is required********

The first day I had my laptop (Vista Ultimate) I downloaded the Hold'em
game. It ran with no problems.

The day before yesterday I noticed I had an optional download, "Texas
Hold'em". I couldn't tell if this was an update, replacement, or what...
seeing as though I already had the game. I downloaded it and it said it was
successfully installed.

Now, when I play the game, I get the flickering that you describe. It was
not there before.

It was an update that added additional language support.
