Can I Upgrade From Home Premium To Ultimate?

Is it possible to easily upgrade from Home Premium to Ultimate edition? Will
I have to buy an entirely new copy of the OS?

Many thanks,
Scott

RE: Can I Upgrade From Home Premium To Ultimate?

Vista has Anytime Upgrade that enables you to upgrade for a fee right on the
Start menu and on the Welcome Center. However--try home premium first. It's
really all most home users need. The Vista dvd has all the versions that are
unlocked with the proper activation key.

RE: Can I Upgrade From Home Premium To Ultimate?

Richard and Mary;

Many thanks for the swift replies! My HP laptop comes with a free upgrade to
Home Premium, but this doesn't have the remote desktop support so I need a
more advanced version. The Anytime Upgrade Program tells me I can upgrade to
Ultimate, and that's just what I need.

Thanks to you both!
-Scott

Re: Can I Upgrade From Home Premium To Ultimate?

I did the Anytime Upgrade from Home Premium > Ultimate - no issues, other
than I had to
un/re install Soundblaster Audigy - now all is well - enjoy.
