Re: Multi file-folder selection

What happens if you're in a folder and press CTRL + A?

Re: Multi file-folder selection

It's a quirk of Explorer that's been showing up on some people's machines.

Once it's set, its perpetuated by the saved folder view settings.

To delete saved folder view settings, proceed as follows:

1) Close all Explorer Windows

2) Start Search -> type: regedit<Enter>

3) In the Registry Editor, navigate to the following key:

"HKCU\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\Bags"

4) Delete the 'Bags' key. THIS WILL ERASE ALL SAVED VIEWS

5) If you happened to use 'Apply to Folders' when this was in effect (but
before you realized it :), then the behavior could perpetuate through that,
those settings aren't stored under 'Bags'. To delete settings stored by
'Apply to Folders', continue with step 6. Otherwise, proceed to step 9.

6) Navigate to:

"HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Streams\Defaults"

7) Delete the 'Defaults' key.

8) Delete the value named 'Settings' found under 'HKCU\...\Streams'

9) Log off & log back on.
