SATA controller question

Hi,

I recently purchased a pci controller card to install in my pc to add
external sata 2 capability. I want to use this external drive as my main
drive and not use the internal drive at all. I was told to turn off my
onboard sata controllers to avoid conflict, but nowhere in the BIOS can I do
this. I have a sony vaio vgc-ra830 g with the original asus board . I cannot
find support for the board which is supposedly an Asus pt . Can anyone help
me with how to turn off the onboard sata controller?

Re: SATA controller question

Personally I wouldn't even worry about turning them off, not likely there
will be any conflict.
