| RE: To All With Vista TV Tuner Card Problems Hi there, I have a hauppage pvr 150 under vista and the same "no tuner found problem". I did exactly what u guys described above but it didnt work out for me so far. when i configure my tuner it works excellent, but after rebooting my system i have the no tuner error again. I found out that what my computer is doing is that it reinstalls the hardware drivers from my tv tuner every time i reboot. When starting up i get the rightdownside message that vista found new hardware and is installing accordingly (i cant interfere or cancel that with via a menu) So it seems that due to the reinstallment of my tvtuner my previous setup is lost time and time again wich seems fairly reasonable to me. So i guess the question then is how can i stop that reinstall process? (by the way my tv tuner is on the inbuild motherboard and so its no outside usb item or so) or am i totally on the wrong foot? Hope someone knows the solution. Carmen "nyoung" wrote: > Here's what I found after struggling with the "No TV tuner installed" message > while setting up TV in Vista Home Premium Media Center: > 1. | RE: To All With Vista TV Tuner Card Problems I upgraded from Vista Premium to Ultimate last night and my Media Center stoped functioning. MC now complains there is no tuner card. The PC is a HP m7760n multi-media PC with Hauppauge WinTV HVR-1600. This set up was working fine with me watching live TV last night until I decided to upgrate to Ultimate. I followed the instruction for setting a different user account to start the MC Receiver Service. Here is the error message after hitting the Start button: <Error 0x80070003: The system cnnot find the path specified.> The path is <C:\Windows\ehome\ehRecvr.exe>. I looked at the ehome folder and found a file ehrecvr.exe. I tried to change the name to ehRecvr.exe, but the system wouldn't allow me to change the file name. Any idea what I should do now? Thanks! > "nyoung" wrote: > Here's what I found after struggling with the "No TV tuner installed" message > while setting up TV in Vista Home Premium Media Center: > 1. But not only my PVR-150 is found as new hardware every reboot, also the pci2pci bridge(mainboard), the Realtech soundchip, the 1394 fiwi controller, and some other VIA controller. |

| RE: To All With Vista TV Tuner Card Problems You did it. I can't believe it - after 3 long months, the crying is over. It works again. I love you. One note, my administrator password was blank and it didn't want to work so I went and set a password on that account (a good idea anyway) and then it worked. Thank you. Thank you. | Re: To All With Vista TV Tuner Card Problems Dude, you are a genius! I just spent 2 hours on the phone with HP trying to figure out how to deal with this TV tuner problem without actually solving it. The people told me to call my cable provider and then call HP back and if the problem is not in the cable then they will need to send me a new tv tuner card and reformat my computer! Mind you this was AFTER they ran the diagnostic in which the diagnostic showed that I WAS receiving the signal. -UCK- I'm so glad you came up with the solution that the stupid HP people can't even figure out! Thank you SO much!!! :) -- muzicgrl52 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ muzicgrl52's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/member.php?userid=34326 View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/showthread.php?t=692048 http://forums.techarena.in |
