Re: Start button reverted to xp start button???

How could they?

That particular bitmap is not located in any of the resource files for Vista
so it literally can't do that.

Demus

It surely MUST be in there somewhere because you can set your start menu and
toolbars to XPSP2. If you can do that, then there has to be a way to capture
the bitmaps.

Re: Start button reverted to xp start button???

Shane,

Where do you get your incorrect information from?

If you have a list of all the resources Vista uses, please pass along as I'd
like to dig into them. The traditional start menu button is included. Just
turn off all the fancy stuff about Vista and the normal rectangle image
comes right back.

Demus,

You can loose it if you have performance turned down in the system
properties. I also remember somewhere in the appearance options to have the
traditional menus, toolbars and the likes.

HTH,
Brian

Thanks, I'll keep looking... turns out it may be related to alcohol 120%.
It's not my system, just trying to help someone and thats the last thing she
installed before it changed.
