Cannot access web site with Vista but can with Windows XP Pro SP2

Does anybody have an answer to why one laptop on my wireless network running Windows Vista Ultimate
cannot access http://www.dom/com while another laptop on the same wireless network can reach the
same site? The machine running Windows Vista Ultimate seems to "hang" while loading the first few
portions of the web site. It doesn't matter if I use Internet Explorer 7, Firefox or Netscape. The
other laptop loads the site nearly instantaneously.

I realize this post is a year old, but I'm having the exact same
problem.
Did you ever resolve it?

There's a very big problem with posting a new problem at the end of an
ancient, closed thread - no one knows what the original problem was and
since you didn't quote any of it no one can help you. You're using some
sort of web "forum" front end; this isn't really a forum but a website
that scrapes Usenet posts. So those of us who use real newsreaders to
access Usenet and don't use your particular web front end have no way of
seeing what you are referring to.

You should set up a newsreader to access Usenet; this is extremely easy
to do. Here is general information to help you with that. After you've
gone through it, please do post back - make a new post, all your own -
with all pertinent details so we can help you.

Since you are using a web interface, you may not realize that this is
really a newsgroup. You will get far more out of this resource if you
learn to use a newsreader. There are many good newsreaders for Windows,
but you can use Outlook Express (XP) or Windows Mail (Vista) since you
already have it. Here are some links to information about newsgroups:
