Upgrade from Enterprise to Ultimate

Ok,

this may seem like a silly question.

I have been evaluating Enterprise at work.. and now want to test
Ultimate..( I have the upgrade version)

Can i upgrade from one to the other.. or is the upgrade purely for Xp and
before?

Re: Upgrade from Enterprise to Ultimate

Hi Dave,

I'm not sure that Enterprise can be upgraded by a retail version. For
retail, you can upgrade it directly through Microsoft using an "anytime
upgrade" site specifically for this purpose:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/pro.../overview.mspx

Enterprise is a different line, I would have your tech people talk to their
Microsoft support people. Also, if by "eval" you are referring to a beta or
prerelease version, then you would need a full disk, not an upgrade (they do
not qualify for use of an upgrade disk).

Re: Upgrade from Enterprise to Ultimate

Well, I've successfully updated Business (Retail) to Enterprise (Volume/MAK)
so perhaps the opposite is also possible.

Stuart.
