Re: Windows Explorer has stopped working!?!?!?!?!?!

I THOUGHT THAT VISTA WAS AN IMPROVEMENT OVER XP BUT THIS IS LIKE THE OLD BLUE
SCREEN OF DEATH FROM 95 & 98! I HAVE MY NEW VISTA COMPUTER FOR 2 WEEKS NOW &
THIS HAS HAPPENED TWICE WHEN DOWNLOADING. I AGREE THE ONLY SLUTION IS TO
RESTORE TO AN EARLIER POINT.

Dude, just wait until you lose access to the Control Panel, desktop
personalization, 3D Flip, and printing! This happens on many Dells, and so
far no one has come up with a solution, except to reboot. Sigh.

Doesn't the oldest quoted text above makes that obvious?

Another RFC1855 issue: par 2.1.1, item 16
(http://www.faqs.org/rfcs/rfc1855.html).

Often referred to as a "stuck shift key".

Re: Windows Explorer has stopped working!?!?!?!?!?!

My Windows Explorer occasionally stops working ( 3 or 4 times a day). I
just put a windows explorer icon on my desktop and I right click it,
Explorer then restarts. I have an HP with Vista Business pre-installed
and HP was no help in solving this. No virsuses or other problems. I
finally gave up trying to fix it and I just use the work-around now

Re: windows Explorer has stopped working

I have posted solution earlier.
there is a program which is not compatible with your windows. So try to
find it.
In my case it was FDM (Free Download Manager). I uninstalled it and
problem solved. I installed again after a week to confirm and found same
result. I tried the same with other systems also and found same result.
I downloaded latest version of FDM and installed it with no problem.

Actually, not so - the information I was asking for from the Problem Reports
and Solutions control panel is application-agnostic and can be looked up
there too.

So: what is that information? =)

For the record, I simply figured that you had to forward that data on to
your friend anyways, so thought that a handy clippable URL showing how to
look up that data might be more useful than me retyping it into shorthand
that you might retype in our own version of the telephone game. My
apologies for being lazy. =)
