DreamScene problem

Using Vista Ult I downloaded the "extra" DreamScene. When I choose it for my
desktop I get an error saying it can't decode the file. The exact message is
"Windows DreamScene has encountered an error. The videofile format is not
supported, or there was an error decoding this videpo file." Anyone else
encounter this?

Re: DreamScene problem

Are you trying to use the default scene? The video it plays must be a MPG or
WMV file.

Re: DreamScene problem

not exactly the same problem but when I try to run a dvd with Dreamscene on
using Windows Media Center it crashes my video driver, then recovers. DVD
play fine using WMP 11. Dreamscene is beta. Who knows video driver or
Dreamscene? Everything else is fine. Using Vista U.

RE: DreamScene problem

Jim- I have the exact same problem, and have not come across any fixes as of
yet. I am however (as time goes on) seeing the problem pop up more with
others. Let me know if you come across any solutions.

Re: DreamScene problem

That's what happens with beta software. So how did you get DreamScene? An
intentional beta download or Windows Update?

Re: DreamScene problem

Hmmm. I had heard that this was well tested. Well, considering the tester,
what would you expect.

Re: DreamScene problem

More than I'd expect out of you.

It is well tested, I never said it was perfect.

I said it's not typical beta quality and that it's a pretty stable build.

However every computer configuration is different.

If all you plan on doing in the NG's is attacking me though I suggest you
just leave.

Well, I've been posting here for months; you showed up a couple days ago and
have pretty much blasted everyone you have responded to since you got here.

A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?

Re: DreamScene problem

No I just blast people when they post inaccurate or misleading information.

I also usually take up those posting flamebait as well just for the fact
that I can roast them with facts and then back them into corners that make
them look like the silly immature gits that they really are.

Also I'm not throwing you into the last part of that, mostly. But in all
honestly a lot of the info you post is pretty wrong :(
