| Vista w/ widescreen LCD I have a Samsung Synchmaster 205BW 20" widescreen monitor that has a native resolution of 1680x1050 connected to my nVidia 6600GT. Using Vista RTM, I am unable to set the monitor to the native resolution. Samsung does not have a Vista driver for the monitor yet. I have tried multiple different versions of the nVidia drivers including the latest 100.59 beta drivers but still unable to go beyond 1280x1024. Does anyone have any tips on how I can get to 1680x1050? TIA |

| Re: Vista w/ widescreen LCD Did you have 1680 x 1050 support under XP with this adaptor? When I just bought a widescreen display, I also bought a card that supported the displays resolution. All cards publish the chart of supported resolutions on the box. Do the specs for this card say anything about supporting 1680 x 1050 ? If not I am 'pretty sure' you need to get a card that does. Let me know if I am wrong. I had to go to NVidia and download their Vista driver for my v-card. Go here: http://www.nvidia.com/object/winvista_x86_97.46.html |

| Re: Vista w/ widescreen LCD Don't know...didn't get the monitor until after I upgraded to Vista. I still have the box for the card but the resolutions are not listed. | RE: Vista w/ widescreen LCD I was able to get it working. I had to switch the port that the monitor was connected to on the 6600. I was then able to set it to 1680x1050.
