| Re: Vista Home Basic with 1 user - anyway not to have to login Hi, Sure, same way is in XP. Click start and type 'control userpasswords2', then hit <enter>. Click continue at the UAC prompt. Click on your account, then uncheck the line that states "Users must enter a name and password......". Click apply/ok and follow the prompts to set up the automatic logon. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Windows help - www.rickrogers.org "dazzle" <dazzle@edazzle.net> wrote in message news:1171277719.080550.190140@j27g2000cwj.googlegroups.com... >I have Vista Home Basic installed and I have only one user on the > whole system - me - is there anyway I can stop the login screen from > appearing on boot and it just goes straight into the desktop. > |
