Profile Stores

Hi,

Where are the profile stores located? e.g. In XP/Documents and
Settingsd/User Name, profiles for like the desktop settings (aka user.dat)
were stored there. I don't see where these are stored in Vista, and I need
to back up certain settings for programs and desktop settings.

Re: Profile Stores

Thanks, I am taking Vista for granted. These files were normally seen in XP,
when I went to the profiles in question. In Vista, I have to go into folder
options/view and click the radio button under Hidden files and folders to
"Show hidden files and folders".

The same is true in Vista as well. "AppData" is hidden and you have
to unhide hidden folders, however, you can otherwise get to it
directly without unhiding by typing the path in the navigation bar or
typing "shell:appdata" in the "Run" box or the Start menu search box.

A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?
