Is it really the case that Vista cannot search inside files for text?

After you do a search, you should have the search bar with the "Search
Tools" showing. After that choose "Search Options" and you can set to look
for text in files.

There must be a way to preset this before beginning a search, but I haven't
found it yet. :)

From and Explorer windows, tap Alt | Tools | Folder Options | Search. There
are three selectable option for searching file names only or content or
both. Or am I not understanding the question?
