| JASC runtime error I am running Vista Home Premium, Version 6. I have had JASC installed for over a year and using it daily with no problems. Suddenly today, in SOME of the Picture folders (but not all) I am getting the Runtime Error message. I have rebooted, but I continue to get the error message in the same few folders of my Pictures. I cannot uninstall anything or reinstall anything. I would not know how and I would not be comfortable doing so. I have 30 -- iglitter ------------------------------------------------------------------------ iglitter's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/members/152998.htm View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/vista-help/1268586.htm http://forums.techarena.in |

| Re: JASC runtime error Sorry Pete. It's on other threads (but they only recommend reinstallation) so I thought everyone knew. I first get: "Microsoft Visual C++: the application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information." Everything is frozen at this point. Then when I click OK, I get a blue line "checking for errors" and then the line stops and the message is: "JASC Paint Shop Photo Album 5 application has stopped working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if there is a solution." I've restarted a few times, and each time the problem is with the same folder. So I deleted the folder altogether through Windows Explorer. Then I copied and pasted it back in, off my external hard drive. That, however, did not solve the problem. Can you help? -- iglitter ------------------------------------------------------------------------ iglitter's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/members/152998.htm View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/vista-help/1268587.htm http://forums.techarena.in |

Can you help? If you are answering my post (you didn't thread it right, so I'm unsure) - I don't use Jasc, so I have no idea. I was addressing your statement that: "It's on other threads (but they only recommend reinstallation) so I thought everyone knew." We are not hanging on your every post. You need to quote what you reply to and you need to post your replies under the post you're replying to, if anyone is going to make sense out of your posts. This applies to everyone, not just you, but a lot of people seem to understand it. -- Gene E. Bloch letters0x40blochg0x2Ecom |
