| Remember network passwords? Is there a way to make Vista Home Premium remember network passwords so I do not have to re-enter them every time I re-start my computer. I have tried checking the remember password option but it does not do anything. Simply want to maintain a network connection to 2 computers and a shared printer on a home network. Please don't tell me that Vista Home Premium doesn't remember network passwords and Vista Business and Ultimate do! |

| Re: Remember network passwords? I don't have this problem!! I have a home network with several computers running XP, Vista and Win7. They all restart with access to the Internet and my e-mail. Doesn't the password/user id get saved in the router/modem?? I have a DSL modem and a netgear router. | Re: Remember network passwords? What you say is true for someone who has a router, but maybe the OP doesn't. He seems to imply only one computer. Of course, I've used a router for so long that I have absolutely no recollection about how to set up an automatic logon via software, only that is probably possible. | Re: Remember network passwords? Actually, there is no problem with getting online etc... It's only connecting to network shares that the user / password doesn't cache - Tom "Gene E. The password is remembered only until the next boot of the PC, an annoyance for scheduled backups to the NAS. If you can use the same usernames and passwords on all machines then of course there is no need to logon as the credentials match. Tom Allen |

| Re: Remember network passwords? I seem to have misinterpreted your OP. Sorry. It was my first mistake this year, as far as I can remember :-) On Fri, 6 Nov 2009 11:37:19 -0500, Tom Newton wrote: [color=blue] > Actually, there is no problem with getting online etc...
