As a comment to this blog points out, this vulnerability was patched
EIGHT YEARS AGO. It's important to keep your OS up-to-date regardless of
what OS it is.

Correction: It's best to keep your OS up-to-date. If you happen to use
Ubuntu, then it is strongly suggested to wipe Ubuntu from your machine and
install a Windows solution to get actual work done.
