hp keyboard filters

In setting up Windows 7 it said my Keyboard Filter drivers may not work
correctly and to download a new driver. There are no new drivers to
download so is it ok to load Windows 7?

You could try this (painful) procedure:

Make a complete clone or image backup of your system drive.
Install Win7.

If you can't get it to work, restore your system from the backup.

I'm thinking I might have to do that myself (I think of it as a security
blanket).

Excellent.

It also gives me a measure of confidence - thanks.
