| Re: Problems upgrading to Windows 7 You are trying to upgrade from Vista 32 bit to Windows 7 64 bit. It can't be done. You have to do a clean install, not an upgrade. -- Richard Urban Microsoft MVP Windows Desktop Experience & Security "Mike and Mary Normile" <mnormile@midstatesd.net> wrote in message news:0F67BCD3-00DA-499B-BB46-E3ADFE7D1BBC@microsoft.com...[color=blue] >I just received my upgrade Windows 7 disks. | Re: Problems upgrading to Windows 7 Have you not read about the upgrade snafu with the Student upgrades? Many of the students have ordered the incorrect version and it stalls at 66% of the final part of the upgrade. It then rolls back the upgrade. You need a clean install to change to 64 bit from 32 bit. This fellow complains of the exact same problem. If it smells like a fish............................... -- Richard Urban Microsoft MVP Windows Desktop Experience & Security "philo" <philo@privacy.invalid> wrote in message news:hcl9s2$d56$1@news.eternal-september.org...[color=blue] > Richard Urban wrote:[color=green] >> You are trying to upgrade from Vista 32 bit to Windows 7 64 bit.
