| Windows 7 Upgrade Question (From Win7 Beta) Is there a way to upgrade from Windows 7 Beta to Windows 7 Ultimate (shrinkwrapped version) without wiping the machine and having to reinstall all of the applications, data, etc... ? Apparently during the upgrade process it says this path to upgrade is not supported and that Win 7 Ultimate must now be installed from scratch - but we would really like to avoid having to do that on this one particular machine if at all possible. TIA ... |

TIA ...[/color] Every tech beta tester (1000 of us) had to wipe their system prior to installing the final version of Windows 7. They/I do it because they know that it is the best way to avoid any future conflicts. It is always the casual beta user who asks this question. If you don't want to spend the time to beta test safely and correctly - don't use betas! -- Richard Urban Microsoft MVP Windows Desktop Experience & Security |
