Its different, but not worse, or less useful or anything like that. |

It's just a new interface, that's all, supposed to make it better. With a little tolerance and sense for the new you are going to like it. | Re: WIndows Updates Well the previous interface, you could double-click on an update and find out what it was updatong/patching, but now there is nothing, even if you double-click on it there is nothing happening "milt" <theatreguy_dunspam_@miltsweb.com> wrote in message news:%23SOL3w1VKHA.3720@TK2MSFTNGP04.phx.gbl... > Michael wrote: >> >> "Martin Racette" <rat7_2001********.com> wrote in message >> news:59A0A5B8-2902-4E58-A68C-F9B21F8A2F47@microsoft.com... >>> Hi, >>> >>> Can anyone tell me how I can get the good old Windows Update interface >>> back, somehow the interface as changed for something that is less >>> usefull and easy to find what update I need to do or not >>> >>> -- >>> Thank You in Advance >>> Merci a l'avance >>> >>> Martin >> >> You should post your query in the update newsgroup. | Re: WIndows Updates If I wanted something new and useless I would of gotten Windows 7, I want Vista's interface to remain the way it was, it was way better before, now it tells me that there is some optional updates, but I can not see them so I can not decide whether I need/want them or not Also as I wrote in another reply, I can not gat any information what the update does, there are so update that I do not need because they cause more trouble than they fix, but I can not find that out anymore "webster72n" <webster72n******.com> wrote in message news:O8mXd21VKHA.2932@TK2MSFTNGP04.phx.gbl... > > > "Martin Racette" <rat7_2001********.com> wrote in message > news:59A0A5B8-2902-4E58-A68C-F9B21F8A2F47@microsoft.com... >> Hi, >> >> Can anyone tell me how I can get the good old Windows Update interface >> back, > > You can't... > >> somehow the interface as changed for something that is less usefull and >> easy to find what update I need to do or not > > not less 'useful' either and the 'easy' part is up to you. > It's just a new interface, that's all, supposed to make it better. > With a little tolerance and sense for the new you are going to like it. > >> >> -- >> Thank You in Advance >> Merci a l'avance >> >> Martin > -- Thank You in Advance Merci a l'avance Martin |

Just click on the ' . . . updates are available' message and then on each update, or are you not seeing those. Tom |

A bunch of Important Updates were reported as available. Choosing View available updates listed them. Double-clicking one of them brought up Details. Right-Clicking gave a little Choice List - View/Hide etc. What are you complaining about? |

Then you go right into attack mode when you're questioned. You should've posted this in the "UPDATE" newsgroup and let those people have you for lunch. All you have to do is click on "VIEW UPDATES" and you can get all the information your pea-sized brain can handle. This puppy posts every couple months, I guess, to see his name in lights. He's a minor troll. I think he's STAN's brother. -- "Don't pick a fight with an old man.
