Yes, but it would also help to see Windows7 news groups here, too.

alt.windows7.general
Not much traffic yet, a lot of people are finding their news feed does not
have it yet.

Have you experienced the "Alt" groups much? I wouldn't touch them with a
barge pole for proper advice.
Go here instead:

I looked at the forum, but like all of them I just don't like it. If I ever
"have to" I will learn, but just prefer Usenet since it's what I am used to.
I don't have the W-7 disc for my new Dell yet, so it has not mattered much,
but there is already one real good poster on the W-7 group answering
questions. I am sure as traffic increases more trolls will feel the need to
start looking for attention there, but that's what they make filters for.
Hell when I first got this Vista this group, even though it took a while
to wade through the crap, was full of great info and help.

So do I but it looks, unfortunately that there aren't going to BE any MS Win
7 newsgroups....the forums are all we are going to get...

Depends a lot on the group. There are some that are very good sources
of information, and are relatively free from the garbage that plagues
other groups. I'm not saying that alt.windows7.general is one of
those good groups since I'm not subscribed, but just because it is in
a particular hierarchy doesn't mean it is a bad group.

Yes I am sure MS is not going to offer any because of what goes on in this
one. That's fine with me as long as there is one, which there is. It will no
doubt start to attract the trolls, but that's what a filter is for.

That can be easily helped by moderating the MS groups on their server.
