| Upgrading Vista to Windows 7 - Look for Family Pack If you are upgrading your computers from XP or Vista to Windows 7, look for the Family Pack. It has three licenses (i.e. for three computers) and steeply discounts the upgrade price: For example in Canada.: http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0665000FS10130896&catid= Windows 7 can be obtained at around 65 bucks a copy Canadian. Whereas in the United States for example: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id=1218113928235&skuId=9493185&type=product You can get Windows for around 49 bucks a copy. Less than $50 USD for a copy of Windows 7. So if you have more than one computer you want to upgrade, look into the Family Pack. You *can* use the upgrade media to do a clean install and still get Windows to Activate and pass Genuine Advantage. Just check Paul Thurrott's website for the simple instructions: [Clean Install Windows 7 with Upgrade Media - WinSuperSite] http://www.winsupersite.com/win7/clean_install_upgrade_media.asp Saucy |
