Yeah, but he wants to like MS. Try mentioning Ubuntu there and see how
long the post lasts.

But, since they can trace his IP , several MVPs are on their way with
baseball bats.

Another client coming my way.

If this is also Ballmer's style (controlling/dominating), I feel so

That's why you get called a troll, instead of an advocate. The name of
the group is m.p.WINDOWS.VISTA.general, not m.p.general, so that itself
means that all topics should be about Vista, not Mac or *nix. You
stretch the line by comparing Vista with another OS.

Several Mozilla posters mistakenly believe Firefox and Thunderbird,
which have Win/Mac/*nix versions, needs separate newsgroups for each
individual OS. Those groups are program-specific and these are all
Windows OS groups.

Contrary to your belief, discussing Ubuntu real is off-topic here.

I don't pretend to be either.

Not stretching a thing when you consider customer dissatisfaction with
Vista. You don't see me posting about Ubuntu on XP.GENERAL.

I already know your opinion as you have stated it many times. We
disagree. Can you agree to disagree and move on or what?

That's because he IS a troll. His idea of free speech is being able to
spam about his lame OS on a newsgroup that doesn't give a rats ass about
an OS made for computer hobbyists. In fact, idiots like him are the
reason MS probably didn't launch Win7 newsgroups and will probably do
away with the NNTP groups eventually.

So you are saying a giant corporation like Microsoft was influenced by a
single troll?

Pretty lame.

Hope they don't shut down the corporate offices when a stray cat is spotted.

So this "OS that's made for hobbyists" doesn't run over half the servers
that run the internet and host websites and run all the supercomputers on
the planet then? Some "hobbyist" OS!

I agree; we disagree on some things. ;-)

Customer dissatisfaction? No one knows the percentage, but I believe
that fewer people that upgraded to Vista complain compared to those that
hated ME, and there are still a fair number of ME users that are
satisfied and see no reason to change. That's how I, and many others,
feel about Vista. Squeaky wheels get the oil, and vocal complainers get
replies.

I looked at a few Linux distros, including Ubuntu, and *my* opinion is
that I prefer Vista. I read up on Windows 7, too, but I see no
compelling reason to upgrade again so soon. I used Win98SE OEM for
almost nine years without ever having to reinstall or restore, except
when I replaced the hard drive. I expect to keep Vista until the next
Windows version after Vista is no longer supported, too.

I liked Win Me except for the constant need to reboot.

We agree on more than you think.
