Blue Screen Help

Hi,

I just build my first computer about a month ago. It started out running great but now I am getting progressively more frequent Blue Screens of Death. They occur seemingly random and anywhere from 5 minutes to a couple hours of turning my computer on. I am a complete noob when it comes to trouble shooting this stuff so I'm not sure whats wrong or how to fix it. The error messages I am getting are: MEMORY_MANAGEMENT and PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA. I have read that these are caused by defects with RAM so I ran the memory diagnostics tool that comes with vista and it showed no errors found. I havn't touched anything with the default settings of my hardware (no overclocking, etc).

Please help!

Specs:

64-bit vista
Intel Q9550 @ 2.83GHz
8G RAM (G-Skill)
XFX GTS250 1G Video Card
GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3R Motherboard

Re: Blue Screen Help

How long did the memory tool run for. Ram faults can very with temp and
voltage. Needs to run several full tests.

Make sure you get new video drivers from NVidia or whoever made the card
and remove the old ones first, then reboot and only after reboot
reinstall drivers.

In fact if you used any drivers that came with the parts check for
updates. Do not let MS update install hardware drivers (Especially
video) thinking you can throw them all in at once, better to do each one
then reboot even if it says you don't have to.
