| Today's the day Today's the day. Look for good deals on Windows 7 pricing. You can get deals online, or if you can't wait, look for "Family Packs" at the big box stores and the computer stores which enable you to acquire Windows 7 for only about 65 bucks a copy (which is pretty inexpensive - especially for people who use their software day in and day out all year). Windows 7 is upgradable. It runs faster than Vista, so if you already have a computer that can handle Vista, then you have a computer that can run Windows 7. And in the real world, even older computers can run Windows 7 decently if they have a gig or two of RAM (cheap) and a capable video card (most any you can get today). Saucy |

In the EU, Win 7 is expensive. > > Windows 7 is upgradable Really? And you and upgrade it to what, Windows 8? >. It runs faster than Vista, BFD, no large accomplishment. > so if you already > have a computer that can handle Vista, then you have a computer that can > run Windows 7. It's an imitation of a Mac and Linux but Microsoft isn't exactly famous for innovating. They are more into stealing others' ideas and saying that they are their own. Alias |

| Re: Today's the day P.S. I was talking Canadian dollars. In US dollars, it would be less than 50 bucks per copy. I learned the hard way, from DEC RSX - you NEVER upgrade to anything as soon as it's released. There are ALWAYS problems. |

Linux is perfectly adequate. |

| Re: Today's the day BestBuy for example: [Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade Family Pack - BestBuy website] http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9493185&type=product&id=1218113928235 Watch the URL wrap. With 3 copies in the pack, it comes in at less the 50 bucks a copy.
