Explorer.exe Application Initialization error 0wc00000022


I just restarted my laptop and got the above error message i've done all
i can to rectify this and i'm stumped i have no idea how this started
and i'll appreciate any hel thanks

I haven't got an answer for your problem but I think your error
message should read 0xc00000022 - not 0wc00000022.

If that is the case, Googling gives many hits with this
error but no specific fix.
If I was in front of this machine the first thing I
would try is to boot into safe mode and see if it runs ok.
If it does then it's probably some third-party software
giving you problems.

I read the posts you made to fix that person's problem, but there
seems to be many varied causes giving this error. From what I read
even a system restore has no effect.
A couple of people reported F-Prot and AVG antivirus updates as
the cause but who knows for sure.
