I agree Vista 7 is a rip off, but I disagree with promoting theft
through usage of cracked versions. Stealing (even from Microsoft) is a

Got my copy of Win7 for only $64.99 CAD so if you were smart like me
you would have got in on the same deal when it was offered.

Yup - same here - I got the half price deal for the main computer when it
was offered.

The Bestbuy / Staples / Futureshop ads were out with the newspaper this
morning and they are selling a 3 pack of Windows 7 for under $200 Cdn.
which means it can be had for 65 bucks a copy - almost commmodity pricing -
and considering how much a person might use the software, an incredible
bargain.

Bureau en Gros is selling it at an discounted price until Oct 24 for $49.95 CAD here
at my location. Have no idea which version of W7

That works out to be $41.67 in US funds

democratic Baltic states) the regular retail price for Windows and
Office is a bit on the high side for them. Many people there earn less,
than an Office price, per month.

Been there, done that, do not want anymore :-) But if anybody asks me,
this country goes the way of xUSSR with scaring acceleration.

I'm too young to remember all those horrors of 80-s, but my parents (and
late grandparents) surely went through all of that. I am not a proponent
of the "3rd way" for Russia, I do not care at all - let those who stayed
there solve their problems themselves. Or, let Chinese teach them how to
work in labor camps.
