| New vists laptop sound issues Hi All I have a Acer Laptop that will not play the sound through the internal speakers. Volume is up to full and the realtek high definition audio driver is installed and up to date. If I plug in some external speakers they will play ok. I think it could be MS UAA causing the problem but not 100% sure. Please could somebody help. I have installed all the latest vista drivers including SP2 Regards Andy |

If it works with external speakers plugged in but not the built in speakers you probably have a hardware, not software issue. |

| Re: New vists laptop sound issues Open the Control Panel and then click on the Sound icon to open. Under the Playback tab, click once on the Speakers icon, then click on "Set as default". Also, click on the "Configure" button to properly configure your speakers. The audio channel should be set to "Stereo".
