Sneaky Microsoft plug-in puts Firefox users at risk

<http://www.computerworld.com/s/article/9139459/Sneaky_Microsoft_plug_in_puts_Firefox_users_at_risk>

Reminds me of the time that Micro**** said that WGA-N was a "critical"
update except this time they put computer users at risk. Not very nice,
Micro****.

Windows 7 comes with a video of wildlife.
It shows a Koala yawning?
Subtle comment?

So you're just like Frank, if you hadn't experienced it, it never happens.

WGA has never affected anyone I know, besides the linux pundits that claim
it happens almost daily.
It was down once for hours, and did hit some people, but nothing earth
shattering.
The whiners had a field day with it.

You know, the software thieves mad as hell Windows was getting harder to
steal.
You would think they all would have flown to linux.
I wouldn't think that, but you might.
I use linux.
I see why its free.

So keep on watching it over, and over, and over...

Maybe Windows 7 is over your head. Stick with Ubuntu.

Well, back to the original subject, did you think it was going to hold?
FF can't get away with it as there are too many .NET users using FF.

Mozilla has also pushed out a change that will let users running Firefox
3.5 override the block, added Shaver. That change came out of
discussions with enterprise Firefox users who said that they needed the
two components to run their .NET-based software within the browser.

The block of Windows Presentation Foundation will likely be lifted in
the next two days. "Microsoft is watching the patch deployment numbers,
and sharing them with us," said Shaver. "At some point, we'll take the
[Windows Presentation Foundation] plug-in off the blocker. I expect that
to happen in the next 48 hours."

Good to know all of this, because just yesterday the FF blocked that plug-in
for me and 'I didn't have the slightest'.
Thanks, <H>.
