sharing Vista files with WinXP

I have a dual boot system with WinXP on HD1 and Vista on HD2 - HD1 is
partitioned in 2 - I would like my files to be available to either
operating system and would like to know if this is ok - I plan on storing
my files on the second partition of the first harddrive (HD1)

Yes - just data files - like my music files and microsoft word documents,
excel files
I was worried about the file directory structure because in each operating
system the drive letter of the
partition is different.

You'll have access to the data by default if you are the administrator.
