| Windows Update waking up notebook from Hibernation It is possible for the Windows Update to wake up my notebook from hibernation - even with the screen lid closed - and do the updates? This happened last night during my sleep, to my surprise. Thanks |

When your computer hibernates, it writes the contents of RAM to the disk and turns itself off. It's possible to have it turn itself on using wake-on-LAN, I suppose. Your computer would have to support it, and it would have to be turned on in the BIOS. Even if those conditions were met, I don't think WU uses such a strategy (but I don't know for sure).
