Writing this from my brother's XP, my vista is in PERIL!

Here's the deal. I start up my Lenovo Vista as usual, and then I start
normal mode. The microsoft loading thing comes up, and the Vista symbols
appears. Just before the user login sound, a blue screen pops up. It
only appears for a second of two, but I know that it is
KERNEL_APC_PENDING_DURING_EXIT error. The code MAY be 0x00000020, but
it's hard to find out because it only appears for a few seconds. Then my
computer restarts. I decide to start in safe mode. I get to see the
vista symbol and then immediatly i see a window that says -"rbxghw.exe
has stopped working. Windows is finding a solution." -I get to open a
window or two, but eventually after 30 seconds...
*_BLUE_SCREEN!!!!_*

If you need any information, i'd be glad to give it to you. I only look
at this thread about every 1 or 2 days because my brother needs this
computer.
Help!

There is a system setting to not instantly reboot on blue-screen errors.
That will help you get the details...

Here's how I got there (but unfortunately in over 30 seconds):

System properties -> Advanced tab -> Startup and recovery.

Once there, clear the automatic restart box.

The best thing would be to go to the command-line in safe mode, instead of
to Windows, but I have no idea which command would do the above.

Does anyone out there know?

You might try "Boot using last known good configuration (Advanced)" listed
in the boot menu with Safe Mode and all the other boot options.

Hi,

You probably have a virus, as there is no system file by the name of
rbxghw.exe, nor can I find any mention anywhere of a legitimate program that
uses a file by that name. If your antivirus software included bootable
media, now is the time to use it. Otherwise, you can try the command line
mode and see if you can scan from there.

A google search on rbxghw.exe finds nothing. That is very strongly
indicative of a virus, since viruses often use randomly generated
names.
