Thats great that Ubuntu bundles a bunch of 3rd party apps, Then there are
the 130+ updates because they are all out of date.
It is much easyer to download the latest version of Windows Live and be done
with it.

And Windows Live has a fully-functioning Office suite in it? I don't think
so.....

The EU & DOJ would love it if MS bundled Office with Windows. Hell they
can't even bundle thier own browser.

Exactly. But Ubuntu DOES bundle a fully-functional Office suite........for
nothing. It's installed during the 25 minute Ubuntu install.

I have absolutely NO problem with people using whatever OS and applications
suits them - what I DO have an enormous problem with is people who spread
lies and FUD (on both sides - and yes I am writing this in Windows Live Mail
on Windows 7 RC while my Netbook runs Ubuntu) without justification.

Install XP and see how many updates you get if you install XP gold. Same
for any version of Office. Apps getting updates is news to you?

That will install your printer, bluetooth, skype, scanner, web cam, etc.?

You'd better stop while you're still not being considered a total moron.

Update laptops w/new drives frequently. Last week, AFTER XP SP3, MSO
2007, and .NET (using MS Update), there were 70 updates. Imagine how
many there would be using SP2...

Win 7 found all my hardware except my audio card. You also need to read. I
was comparing the fact that the apps on the
Ubuntu cd are out of date and need to be updated. I was using Windows Live
as an example of downloading and getting the latest version right off the
bat.

Whoopee for you. Windows Live Fail is a very poor example as it's an
