| How to delete postings from Newsgroups Is there a way to delete sent email? Is there a way to delete sent Newsgroup posting? WITHOUT BEING that SERVER's OWNER? I wonder. I know you can't "delete" words we say in a rash of tantrum or anger, and then be sorry.. but what about these 2 above? Email + Newsgroups? |

The NNTP protocol allows for this in the form of a CANCEL message. It's only supposed to be sent by the original poster of a message, but had a history of abuse, so typically, the CANCEL message command is usually disabled by the newsserver admins. Win7 boots slower than Vista. Cathy's boobs are too large so she loses balance when walking. My car is too fast so can't stop properly at intersections. neighbor's child is being a child so he screams, and I hate that man... errr child.China id too large. -"Sometimes I suffer from diaherria of the mouth." -"If Vista is freezing on you, try spraing it with petrol & apply a Torch. it should warm up." - "because i know America is the greatest country on Earth, after Western Europe and Japan." (I didn't see this one before.....funny.) - "Your posting has been logged for investigation." - "I work for "People Eating Tasty Animals (PETA)". Those are humble morsels which descend from mapple Trees." |

| Re: How to delete postings from Newsgroups > NNTP protocol allows for this in the form of a CANCEL message. An utter surpise - I wasn't aware of a CANCEL command. I've not seen such a command in my Newsreaders (OE, Winmail, Thunderbird)? |

You are not even aware of how to change your PCs clock. Very selfish. |

| Re: How to delete postings from Newsgroups Yes there is a way to delete Sent emails. You can also call the email back once sent. What you need for this to be able to be done is installing the Exchange Server. Outside of the latter it cannot be done -- Peter Please Reply to Newsgroup for the benefit of others Requests for assistance by email can not and will not be acknowledged. Plus, there's a time limit to the time the e-mail is sent and when it can be cancelled. If the admin has Exchange set to deliver mail immediately, it may be too late. |

| Re: How to delete postings from Newsgroups Leythos I am aware of this since I also use Exchange on my Server.
