The reasons that Ubuntu is more secure than Windows are twofold:

ones. Hence, it is very important to be updated or patched and not just

it at a *huge* discount, even Alias pre-ordered one.

We're talking retail sales here, which is a very tiny percentage of total
sales. OEM sales...to Dell/HP/etc, have to quite a bit less than $59/$69
already, so there should be any money lost via OEM's.

Corporate clients don't just purchase Windows licenses, but other bundled
things such as Office, and support, so there wouldn't really be a loss
there either.

It would be a win-win......Users would be more apt to purchase at a much
lower cost, therefore more copies sold. Even if MS ended up breaking even
as if they didn't lower the price dollar-wise, there would be more copies
of it out there and running and installed on PCS.

Looks good on paper anyway.

As I said, that is good business, and it isn't even out proper yet.
