My mistake for posting in the wrong place

Maybe it was the wrong post, rather than the wrong place :-)

And don't let the door hit you on the way out. If you post to COLA, they
will put you on a pedestal on top of your soapbox.

I have been reading and posting in a thread in the media center NG,
starting with:

Message-ID: <3DFD500B-6022-448F-BA64-8C21EFD65145@microsoft.com>

The problem there is that someone apparently has been using some *very* old
equipment, and now is having a very difficult time saving some work that he
doesn't want to lose, because his equipment is totally obsolete. The poster
is not the person in question, but is hoping to help him, in spite of what
looks like significant odds against success.

It's not, generically, a new or unknown problem, of course. Like just try
to copy songs off of your 8-track tapes...

Anyway, in spite of the pain, in the long term it might still be safest for
Sentar to move to Vista or 7. It's his decision, and I won't presume to
argue with him about it, but I still wish to express my opinion.
