| Can't power down monitor I have the power option set to turn off the monitor in 1 hour. However, it never does. I set it down to 1 minute and still nothing. Is there a way to find out why it isn't working? Thanks, Brett |

| RE: Can't power down monitor I have exactly the same problem. Can you give details fo the chipset/CPU you current have. I suspect it is a power management issue, but cannot be sure. | Re: Can't power down monitor It use to work. I believe the problem is a program I installed named Synergy. It runs on two machines and neither will sleep. Will try to get with the author and see if it is a known issue. | RE: Can't power down monitor I have the same problem. When I use the photo slide show as my screen saver the monitor never powers off. If I use the Windows logo as my screen saver the monitor powers of at the spcified time. Also it seems to work randomly. Some times it turns off the monitor and others it doesn't. I have an ATI X1650 graphics card. I saw some other posts from RC1 where the monitor was not turning off with ATI cards. I contacted Microsoft support on this but they were not helpful. They just kept trying the same thing over and over with a different tech. "Brett" wrote: [color=blue] > I have the power option set to turn off the monitor in 1 hour. However, it > never does.
