| Windows Explorer Behavior I have Vista Home Premium. When Windows Explorer first starts up, a tree-view of the folders and drives is displayed in a pane on the left side. But then when you click on a folder, the tree-view pane disappears and one window displays showing the contents of the folder clicked on. How do you keep the tree-view from disappearing (i.e., make the behavior like XP)? Thanks |

| Re: Windows Explorer Behavior Hmm... don't have that issue here. Running Ultimate but can't believe Windows Explorer is going to act differently between the two flavors. Looked around to see if I could find a related setting, but can't identify it, if it's there... sorry. Lang "Robert M. | Re: Windows Explorer Behavior I found the answer - it's in the "Organize | Layout" menu. "Navigation pane" should be highlighted. "Robert M. | Re: Windows Explorer Behavior When the window without the folder pane opens, click: 'Organize' -> 'Layout' -> select 'Navigation Pane' Close the window and that should set the 2 pane view as the default. -- Good Luck, Keith Microsoft MVP [Windows XP Shell/User] "Robert M.
