| Vista RTM and nf4 Non-Boot RAID I know of all the problems concerning setting up Vista on a RAID partition, but I'm concerned with Vista (already installed on a non- RAID disk) just seeing a RAID-0 array used for storage from within Vista. I am using a nf4 AMD board and disk management just sees the two disks, labels one as raw and the other as unallocated. I know nvidia doesn't have any official drivers yet but I thought Vista has internal drivers for nvidia RAID. Any reason Vista cannot see this hardware RAID-0 array? |

| Re: Vista RTM and nf4 Non-Boot RAID I figured it out. Vista was seeing the IDE controllers as generic and assigning the generic Vista drivers to the controllers. I downloaded the latest XP drivers for nf4. I went through device manager and updated each controller that said Standard Dual Channel PCI IDE Controller and went to "Browse my computer for driver software" then "Let me pick..." then I went to "have disk" and manually went into the IDE folder of the XP drivers and went into the sata_ide folder and used the .inf in there to install the IDE controller. I did this for each one and then my RAID drives appeared as they should. |
