Media Center Guide Time Zone Issue

I upgraded to Vista x64 Ultimate today and am loving it so far. My only gripe
is that media center doesn't detect my time zone properly and shows the guide
an hour behind. I live in Atlantic time but the guide displays as if it were
Eastern (one hour behind Atlantic). I have the Windows time zone set properly
but am unable to correct the Media Center guide. HELP!

I am having the same issue right now! It wont activate my account
unless my time zones are right. I live in Houston and I set it to
central .. it put me two hours ahead, then I just changed it to central
and changed the time. it's still not working. Any help would be
appreciated.

You could try using a different zip code with the guide eg some address
nearby

Re: Media Center Guide Time Zone Issue

Hi, Paige.

Since you are off one hour, could it be that you Daylight Saving Time
setting is wrong?

I note that the time-stamp on your latest post says:
Date: Mon, 22 Jun 2009 12:15:18 +0100

The +0100 time setting would be correct for Western Europe (Amsterdam,
Berlin, Paris, etc.). Is THAT where you are? If you are in Houston, then
your time zone setting should be the same as mine: Central Daylight Time,
UTC -0600.

But, your post is being relayed from the Vistaheads forum to us here in the
Microsoft public newsgroup microsoft.public.windows.vista.general so who
knows what time adjustments may have been made along the way. :^{
