NEW Realtek AC97 sound drivers

Realtek have released new drivers for the AC97 card.
Dated 24th January 2007, these drivers are not yet up on Windows Update.

http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/...tDown=false#AC

These are proper drivers and I can confirm you will no longer get the error
message in control panel that the drivers are not designed for Vista.

During setup you will get a message to say the drivers are unsigned, but
accept and continue.

YAY no more annoying message about my sound.

Forgot to mention, Use download site 3 - the others are way too slow.

RE: NEW Realtek AC97 sound drivers

I downloaded the new drivers. But I can't get past the message that the
drivers are unsigned. It just keeps appearing again and again even though I
accept. Anyone else have this problem? Is there a solution?

Re: NEW Realtek AC97 sound drivers

Yep. I had the exact same issue with the drivers from the link below.

Later I found that the MS site (and the hp site) had updated drivers for my
hp PC. You might want to check that. The MS update site (as of today at
least) had drivers that were Jan/07. The hp site Vista drivers were Nov/06.
