WebCam Problem

I have a laptop with a builtin webcam (BisonCam, NB Pro) and I am running
Vista Ultimate. I downloaded the latest drivers for the camera which claim
to work with Vista but when I install the driver, Windows Messenger freezes
and I cannot see the webcam image in any application (e.g. Skype). If I
uninstall the driver, Messenger works again.

Any solutions to this?

Re: WebCam Problem

I have an Acer notebook with the same built in webcam. I had the same
problem with the Bison driver for Vista. I uninstalled it and installed the
XP driver available on the Acer website. The webcam now works fine with
Messenger. You should check with your laptop manufacturer to see if they
have an XP driver you can download. This will only work with the 32 bit
version of Vista. If you are using Vista x64 you will have to wait for a
driver specific to your laptop as the XP drivers do not work with Vista x64.

Re: WebCam Problem

It's unlikely the driver will work on a different laptop but here's the link
